Wat Lok Moli on Loi Krathong

Posted on Posted in Photography, Travel, Travel Reports

Loi Krathong is a traditional festival in Asia which occurs on the evening of the full moon in the twelfth month of the Thai calendar. The name means ‘float a basket’ and is celebrated by floating baskets either on water or into the air. The baskets are usually lit up by candles and the tradition is to make a wish when you launch your basket.

I popped into one of the local temples, Wat Lok Moli at Chang Phueak Gate to have a look at some of the brightly coloured baskets on display.
